With wide art-nouveau rooms, large crystal mirrors from Antwerp and French stained glass windows, the traditional Confeitaria Colombo, which opened in 1894, is Cultural and Artistic Heritage of Rio de Janeiro. With a tradition of over 120 years old, the pastry shop is known for being rendezvous for artists, politicians, scholars – such as Olavo Bilac and rui Barbosa, Villa-Lobos, Chiquinha Gonzaga, and others. On the menu, there are more than 60 confections. They serve breakfast in the morning (until 11 a.m.), lunch and afternoon tea.
